The three I flippedWell I have 7 now, my 72 sport summer driver a 66, 76, 68, 72 ranger (Uncut), 75,76. I recently sold two 71's and a 73 . Also working on purchasing another 66 with a 5.0 and Auto, I need another project bronco like I need a hole in my head.
I was wondering if you still had the Bronco II. The Bronco looks very similar to one that Roger had.Heck yeah they count!
I don't have it anymore. I rolled it again and it was getting pretty rough so I scrapped it. Threw the axles in the EB. Been wheelin the EB for the last ~15 years.I was wondering if you still had the Bronco II. The Bronco looks very similar to one that Roger had.
That was a great day! How about this blast from the past, the same day and why your Bronco II became a convertible.I don't have it anymore. I rolled it again and it was getting pretty rough so I scrapped it. Threw the axles in the EB. Been wheelin the EB for the last ~15 years.
Here's blast from the past for you. How about those thornbirds!
Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about it getting sold without your knowledge. Also thank you for your service! The only Bronco I have owned (so far) was a 1986 Bronco II that my parents helped me buy as a high school graduation present uhhhhh *cough* 22 years ago *cough*.
A local BHPH lot had a beautiful 1969 Datsun 1600 roadster for $4500 but my mom quickly nixed that idea because she insisted I needed a 4wd.
A few weeks later, my dad found the B2 for sale in a neighboring town. It had a new Maaco paint job and was in good shape. It was black with silver graphics down the side. It had 16" chrome wheels and newish AT tires. It looked really sharp. It was a base model with the 5 speed. No a/c, power windows or door locks. The interior was porno red velour like this:
It had about 140k miles and my parents paid $4500. I drove it for the next 2 years until I joined the Air Force in 2001. My dad sold it in 2003 after it sat unused in the garage for a bit. He didn't tell me before he sold it. I was mad because I finally had a decent job and I wanted to do a 5.0L swap since the 2.9L was slow and leaked oil from every gasketed surface.
I wish I could find another one in decent shape. They are a good size and plenty capable. The TTB front suspension is bomb proof. They are fun rigs.
