I got a $10.5k quote (!) and a $6.5k quote in the same city. I understand there may be somewhat of a skill variance with installers (all listed on Xpel's webiste), but this is insane. Makes me question doing it at all.
So, when I get my WT it will be as is, no extra coatings as I'm planning on spending a lot of time out in the desert... it will get trashed eventually. That's what is for, to have a blast I might shed a tear or two for the first few nicks and dents.... LMAO

Meet my area51 Wrapthor ;) So I just got my bronco wrapped with Xpel stealth ppf. Initially I wanted partial clear ppf but when they showed me how is it gonna look like in stealthy I was immediately sold! Next week I'm adding some black vinyl elements on the hood and sides so that will introduce more contrast which I want.

Finally we had some sunny weekend here so I took a few pictures. We got to explore some narrow trails today and I must say ppf worked really nice when it comes to pin striping and potential rock chips. Definitely I was less anxious while driving those trials 😆

Thanks for posting these pics - looks awesome. I have a build week of 5/9 for the same exact build - I am a 7/21/20 reservation holder so it will be an almost 2 year wait.
Did you end up putting on any hood decals etc?

Thanks man, glad you like it! Actually I didn't get any hood decals. Still didn't find anything I would like.

Ah ok - I thought the hockey sticks that go across the door handles were pretty nice.

How's your stealth wrap looking after year 1? Considering wrapping my incoming A51.

Hi sorry for the late reply! I haven't noticed that message.
It's looking great man! I was offroading quite a bit and otherwise, I would scratch my car paint for sure. I can see that mirror caps have some pin striping and ppf is like new. The only spot I've noticed has damage was the lower part of the front doors where rocks usually hit. It's really minor but there are a couple of tiny holes there. Definitely need to install some mudguards or maybe beefier rock rails.

Wow that looks great man! Thinking of getting a matte wrap for my soon(??) to come Carbonized Grey Metallic 4 dr, but have to see it in person first. I especially love all the people here who need to make themselves feel better but telling us all - for no discernible reason - that they would never spend that money for this - not sure who asked or if that was the point at all of this thread..... The OP is sharing what he did with his vehicle, if you can't afford it and need to knock him down to make yourselves feel ok with it, or whatever your passive-aggressive reasons are, if you have nothing nice to say......

have you gotten the wrap scratched up at all yet? I’m curious how it shows on the stealth vs the normal xpel.

Hey, so far so good, no scratches. Just some tiny dings where usually rocks hit behind the front fender flares.

The wrap is awesome and glad to hear it is holding up. Question? Did you wrap the hinges on the tailgate and how are they holding up? My installer thinks that like the handles it will peel long before the rest of the wrap and I will not be happy.

No , I didn't wrap the hinges for the same reason you mentioned. It wouldn't hold up. It doesn't stand out tbh. I was planning to replace the hinges anyway so they should be black.
