Auto stop/start question

Not sure if I chose the right category for this post…
I have noticed that even with my auto stop/start turned off, when I come to a stop (3-5 mph) the motor feels like it is going to turn off like when the auto stop is on. It feels like a hesitation. It doesn’t turn off and immediately feels fine as I come to a complete stop, But I am wondering if that Is normal? The hesitation lasts about 2 seconds.
