can you really just Forscan it off? I might make that investment.
Yes, you can. I did on my truck and can on others as well. Cannot do it on a stick because of the angle inhibit.

I keep mine in sport mode 95% of the time - easier to rev match, gas pedal & steering feels better, and best of all... no A.S.S.!

Wait, you received your Bronco and are actually driving it around???
LOL. Yep. Loving it. Just learning a few things. Only a day old but already in the Sh*T. So much to do, so much to know, so much fun to have.

only stops if you're standing on the brakes, not moving
Can confirm. There's a hill before a light that I drive down every day and it's usually pretty backed up. I'm used to staying in neutral and coasting a couple car lengths at a time with the engine off. Not anymore, it starts right back up as soon as it slightly rolls.

I’m waiting on my Bronco order still, but our 2019 Honda Pilot stalls about once a month due to the ASS system. That’s only when I forget to turn it off prior to driving. It’s a known issue with the Pilots though.

I would definitely agree it’s a safety issue if there are similar problems on the Bronco. Hopefully this is just a limited incident.

Well, at least you have your bronco. Some of us are still shit out of luck after 2 years of waiting.

On my Wildtrak it defaults to 4A. I always use the knob to put it back in 2H. I was just saying that it'd be nice if there was a way to set it so sport mode defaults to 2H instead.
Agreed! My Base doesn’t have 4A so automatically goes to 2H

Auto Stop Start is definitely dangerous, as it cut out while taking a U-turn on a major thruway today. The engine shut down in unusual situations will eventually lead to an accident - hopefully without serious injury. @Ford Motor Company please consider issuing a directive to Dealers to fix Auto Stop Start so it is in the OFF position upon start up. Or approve dealers to install Auto Eliminator approved by Ford. This is no joke, cutting engine in odd situations is very dangerous.
Easy fix. Manually turn it off or put in sport mode. Problem solved

Another reason why the manual transmission is superior (I'm kidding, but it is superior, IMO), unless I shift to neutral there's no way I'll see auto stop/start in action.
(only times I've ever had it do anything anyway; transmission in neutral with clutch pedal released)

Hmmm.... SAFETY 1st. !!!

Not a fan of the auto stop but I cant get into a car (rental) nowadays without it. Again, dont like it but it is main stream....

Push the button. A life you save may be your own...

Merging onto a major thru-way is is key. U-Turn, crazy stuff but there are many types highways, so I wont judge...

Tight U-turn, tapped the break lightly, maybe it thought I was stopped or stopping. Until A.I. can out think me, I'll thank it from killing me. I know.....Push the Button!

So... your engine cutout for a moment while turning? is that what you are trying to say?
Or more specifically, he started a turn, then came to a complete stop with enough force on the brake pedal to engage auto stop/start. This doesn't sound like a defect, but a training issue.

I don't have my Bronco yet, but other auto stop/start systems I've used usually don't engage until the brake is pressed more firmly. A light press--but enough to keep the vehicle stopped--does not engage auto stop/start. I found that helpful when it's very hot and don't want the A/C to cut out (hello, Arizona!) or if I know I won't be stopped long, such at a stop sign or a light that has turned green but traffic hasn't quite started moving ahead of me. I'm hoping the Bronco works like this.

I got tired of remembering to turn it off so I bought the auto stop eliminator.

I don’t mind the auto on/off at all as it has to help with mpg. Sometimes it will sit off for a full minute at a stop light. Sometimes it’s annoying in traffic but then can just turn it off. There’s got to be some data out there on auto start and mpg. Not every manufacturer does it so maybe it’s not cut and dry.

Error seems to be somewhere between the steering wheel and driver's seat.
