Thanks for the excellent video! May I ask what type of drone did you use?

To quote the immortal words of Mr. T, I pity the poor fool parked atop this outcropping when it eventually gives way.
I really thought about this after I reviewed the footage. You can see big cracks in my drone video when I was circling around.

Looks like a great trip. Curious your thoughts on your winch solution. Have been considering that same set up for my Badlands.

The main reason I bought a Bronco is so I could drive it out to CO without shipping/towing it. Compared to my LJ the Bronco is great on the highway.
I can tolerate about 6 hours of driving in my TJ, but the Bronco is a fantastic road car. The Bronco has to be far better than the newer Jeeps as well.

Nope, Ironically haven't used it once since I got it. My Dad's Rubicon had to winch up the Wall on Poughkeepsie Gulch but he used is own winch.

I love the San Juans, been over those trails many times. This will be the first year in a while that I haven't made the trip, but now that I finally have the Bronco I'm planning on it for next year. I see you're in the Atlanta area too, it's a helluva drive!

I liked your line up the wall. Exact same line I took a couple years ago in my Land Cruiser. The drone doesn't do it justice, that is a tough obstacle! There are some crazy lines, and I've seen guys roll trying them, but that line makes the most sense.

Nice!!! I love that Land Cruiser.

Yea Drone footage always flattens everything and makes it look easy. I watched a bunch of videos of the wall before my trip but when I pulled up on it at first I was questioning even attempting it. The Jeeps on top wanted to watch and see if the Bronco could make it so I went for it. They left promptly after me going up lol.

I haven't used it yet tbh but its a solid setup. I like the Rough Country one that just came out that mounts it a little higher and closer to the grill but I haven't hit the winch plate on anything offroading yet.

The JCR was really the only option available at the time if you didn't want the Ford setup.

I am always looking for a bargain so I decided to try out the Harbor Freight Badlands winch. Haven't had to use it yet so no idea if it compares to the more expensive brands. Build quality seems nice though.

I got the winch for my North GA Mtns. Always muddy here and I go out solo a bunch.

Didn't see anything you really need a winch for in Colorado while I was there.

Looks like a blast! Could you guys camp out there? I'm taking a road trip to Colorado from CA in a few weeks.
