I installed one in my Focus ST that I sourced off the Interwebs for $50 and 3hrs work. Easy Peasy. Had a temperature sensor AND compass in it as well!

I had the same build. But I've added the Mid package a few days ago for one reason only: the infotainment unit having a GPS. I use my phone mainly for navigation but it wouldn't hurt to have 2 offline nav systems

I should have said any search engine will help you find an explanation for how an auto dimming mirror works. When I get curious about how things work, which is really all the time since I’m an engineer, I find it very easy to get the high-level explanation quickly off the Interwebs.

Think I got something a bit 'Unicorn-y'?

2.3L 4 door w/ 7 speed manual and high-package. Non-Sas but with optional rims.

That is my "get it this summer" BL build. Went with the soft top too just to eliminate any and all possible delays. Still undecided on color for this particular build.

Don't want to start a debate, but I think MID package is a huge value.

You miss out on intelligent access, wireless Apple Car Play/Android Auto, and the ford pass app which has all of that cool curated trail stuff on it, AC outlet, and heated seats. Yeah there is a bunch of dumb crap that you don't need (like lights on your feet), but man there is a ton of value in the mid package.

I don't disagree, however, for me, my current ride has none of that and I like driving it.

I never say, "I wish this had..."

So, for me, the standard package has MORE than my ride now. It's an upgrade that doesn't cost me anything extra.

2-door, CO, 2.7, tow package, done.

Using the information from what people have said they have ordered, there are 30 people in the same boat as you (excluding the sound deadening information)
23 have 2 door, 7 have 4 door, and only 3 are soft top

Based on information available, only 3 people have my exact order (2021, Badlands, 4 door, CYO, 7 Speed, 2.3L, High, MIC top, NoSquatch) - feeling slightly unicorny now

4dr, Lux, MIC, 2.3 auto, Cyber orange. Made the last minute change to Lux from Mid. Wife wants her heated steering wheel and it will be her main driver. Happy wife, happy life..

I’m naturally a helpful person so my default is to assist. I am also a smart-arse when called to task. It’s all good, I deserved that one!

Yes I ordered standard BL 4dr soft top 2.3 MT CacG standard wheels no mid. For me it was between that and the basesquatch but my desire for the MT and to start out with the 33s outweighed my preference for the 2.7. I’m 56 and have never owned a vehicle with an auto trans so I guess I’ll keep that streak going. The sway bar disconnect and MGV are added bonuses. I didn’t get the mid or higher package because it already has enough features for me and I wanted to keep the price in the mid 40s. I did get the tow packages and the door bags tho. Different strokes...!

There's not a thing wrong with a bare bones BL. Heck, compared to vehicles 20 years ago it will be like Doc Brown's DeLorean in Back to the Future.
