Ford Bronco Basic Fog Lights for Mod Bumper 1651603808182

While I wait for Bronco build, I have been exploring the many great lighting options for the past 4 months. It is a difficult decision, but I like the flexibility 4X4 TruckLEDs provide with K& R Off-Road bracket using Baja Design pod lights. A bit pricey but BD has a solid reputation and their product provides a phenomenal amount of Lumen's in a small package compared to many of the other vendors. I am leaning toward the following configuration once I get my Bronco:

Baja Designs Triple Fog Light Kit w/KR Off-Road Brackets for 2021+ Ford Bronco
1st Pair: Squadron Pro, Driving/Combo (3.4 Amps = 4,900 Lumens ea. pod)
2nd Pair: Squadron SAE, Wide Cornering Amber ( 1.6 Amps = 2,450 Lumens ea. pod)
3rd Pair: S2 Pro, Wide Cornering, Amber (1.7 Amps = 2,2450 Lumens ea. pod)
Harness Choice: All-In-One Upfitter Harness (for use w/Aux switches)
Plan to combine the Amber Fog pods in one Aux switch. The brighter Squadron Pro in another Aux switch.

Looks like these are a total of 6k lumens, so for 6 that would be 1k each. The zroadz states 1,720 lumens per light. That seems to be quite a difference. i saw a post where someone said that even the zroadz didn't seem very bright.
Yes, those are definitely brighter. @Jossman was asking for street legal I think.

Are you saying the zroadz lights wouldn't be street legal? I hope that's not the case as those are the ones I like the best based on reliability and price mix.

No. They say they aren’t DOT approved. Most of the lights on this forum are for off road only. See answer on their website.

Definitely missed that, thanks!
I like those Oracle lights, but do worry they are far less lumens than some of the other options.
$400 is a steep price jump to Diode Dynamics base package and it only gets crazier from there.
The reason they have less lumens is because they are designed as DOT approved fog lights, and not designed to be full throw spot lights, like other options out there.

It's just another option for lighting up front. One that ISN'T specifically for off-road use, unlike the others (Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics, M&R Automotive etc) that tend to be for 'off-road use only', and are not DOT approved.

The Morimoto 4Bangers in wide are SAE compliant. Those produce 20w and 48w respectively based on choice

Went with the Diode Dynamics 2 light system. One White driving spot and yellow fog.

For people wanting street legal fogs… most states only allow one light on each side for fog lights. So on these multi-light kits you have to figure out how to wire them for that capability. Also, make sure the light pods really project a fog light pattern. Many I looked into had a flood pattern, which will shine into oncoming drivers eyes (meaning they will flash their high beams at you). Fog, flood, driving, combo, spot… all different beam patterns. You want real fog pattern you can aim just below your low-beam headlight level.

GA law, as example:
