My dudes I have the Heretic lightbar and you can see it from two counties over with your eyes closed.

So what you’re saying is when someone gets unruly on an emergency call I can just turn on my lights to “stun” mode and problem solved? 🤣

Rigid for me too. No photos yet, unless you want to see one with the dorky light covers on which they give you (I put them on for fun; they are no longer on, even though the instructions say you MUST use them when driving on the street :) )

I would never admit to flipping the #1 switch when people were racing on the interstate but in this hypothetical everyone got real chill real fast.

my only other thoughts are: wiring is pretty simple with all the pre-run extensions for the upfitter switches. I followed thevideo instructions from TrailRax and Heretic, though I did real wire splices instead of the hack job electrical tape they did for quick-n-dirty demo. You’ll want to aim your bar correctly so you’re not just lighting up your hood or the moon of course. Batman doesn’t come to the woods even if you signal him.

I use a Rigid 40 inch light bar. I have posted photos of the forest without and with the light on. Have to use a wind deflector on the back side of the bar to stop the whistling noise got my at ZROADZ.

Any pics of the wind deflector and how you installed it? I have one sitting in my garage for my 52" bar but I'm not sure I want to run rivets through the bar. I'm thinking a JB Weld or similar product may work instead.

I drilled very small holes and screwed mine on to one of the Fins. No pics, sorry out of town.

I'll join a few posters and endorse the American-made Heretic 40-inch. I have it mounted on the Trailrax roof carrier. A pretty expensive setup. 10% discount ordered through thebronconation. Heretic will give military/veterans/first responders a 15% discount. As I recall, Heretic did not hit me with my state sales tax, perhaps an oversight? (Total 21.4% savings for me!)

I was 10 cars back at a red light when an ambulance came up behind. The cars at the stopline were oblivious and failed to clear the red light to allow the ambulance passage. I started flashing my roof-mount Heretics, and every signpost 100 yards ahead started shining/reflecting very brightly--in bright daylight! That caught the attention of the drivers forward of me, and people started making room for the ambulance.

Back to subject: (1) Look at products "specifications," i.e. lumens, for objective comparative data. And (2) when you install, remember that the auxiliary switches have different amp ratings. You'll probably want to install a high-output lightbar on Aux #1.

Unless you're set on getting the 'above the window' light bar, I would suggest thinking about this one from @MandRautomotive. It tucks in nicely under the grill and puts out a TON of light. And the bonus is there's no wind noise (or reflection on hood) with this placement. Solutions for Modular/Capable and Standard Bumper (white and yellow) and an easy install (with upfitter switches).

Same. No annoying hood glare. Happy with my BD’s, but other premium brands are surely great too probably can’t go wrong.

If light bar is installed on the roof does that mean a drive thru car wash is no longer an option?

Baja Design or Rigid are great brands. I didn’t do windshield bar cause of noise issues

I love the Baja Design LP9 Pro with harness kit, I got a pair of those on top of my steel bumper along with a a pair of Baja Design LP4 Pro.

Added some very cool rock guards to the LP9. I wish they made these for the LP4. @Baja Designs can you make these for the LP4?

In my steel bumper I added the Baja Design Pro Pocket Lights

I also added Rigid mirror mounted lights from ford performance. They are a good value.

The LP9 is my favorite light system, in a class of its own.

We can look into getting some made for the other models as well. I did notice that you still had the previous gen Squadron SAE and wanted to let you know that we are doing free upgrades for the new internals if you are interested. Baja Designs Squadron® SAE Upgrade Program

When I had my 2013 Jeep the wind noise was a huge issue with light bars mounted to the windshield...

I am guessing that is still an issue with these light bars?
