My wheel wells need some attention. I bought some degreaser and some undercarriage dressing spray and plan on using it tomorrow. However, when I was washing the Bronco today I noticed the rear wheel wells were plastic and easy to clean while the front wheel wells were lined in felt/fabric.

Just curious how others clean the felt and if you should put any kind of protectant/dressing on the felt line you would plastic. Basically, I want the felt to look as black as the day I bought the Bronco.

Buy a new one?

Seriously though - I can’t get mine clean either and I think the only way to do it would be to replace it with a cleanable liner

Ugh. Oh well, guess I’ll just clean the plastic ones really good.

Same conclusion. I voted to replace the OEM and bought these - will install later this month and post puss

That link is for rear liners, which are already plastic and relatively easy to clean. Do they have a front liner set?

Behold - the power of search:

Also - from non-ChatGPT vendor:

Those were the only aftermarket ones I could find. Surprisingly no plastic options.

Would think a pressure washer would work
It'll hose most of the dirt off, where I am in red mud, you can't get the color / staining out of the felt.

I don't really worry about it too much, but there's no way I could get it back to looking "new".

In North Carolina (Red Clay everywhere) I just use my cheap 1800 PSI power washer and go to town. Get closer than you think you should with like a 25' nozzle.

I saw the DV8 ones originally but went lower cost no branding I remember correctly. DV8s look easier to install though.

What if he just did donuts with TTA on the malls lawn? Seems like a bit of a grey area…

Off-road is off-road...green staining is acceptable in a pinch...

I have had success with using a drill brush attachment for my drill. Once the liner is dry after I power wash it, I use the drill brush to knock out any residual dirt and sand from the felt. You have to use a bit of pressure, but it works for me.

Do people still bedliner spray wheel wells, or was that just a fad?

I always thought it would help with road noise and be easier to clean 🤷‍♂️

Regular dish soap and a pressure washer work for me. My liners look as good as new every time I wash the truck.

One thing to consider with aftermarket liners is the material with which they’re made. Those Hooke Road are nice, but they’re made out of steel. That’s added weight and more noise when slinging rocks or debris when wheelin’. Just food for thought. Cheers.
