What are peoples thoughts on the need for getting floor mats in the BD? With a washout interior you really don't need them, but are they worth it from a wear standpoint?

Carpeted mats come with, which is nice, to me. I don't need a wash out floor, so the carpet will help it feel right. You could always toss in some Weathertechs so you don't have to hose it out all the time!

That is crazy, in that case i'll probably just keep the stock mats and then replace them once I've worn them out. Something to soak up water from wet shoes is kind of nice even with a washout.

I saw that too. Figured for maybe daily driving but remove when you're off-roading. Who knows what the thinking there is.

Has anyone noticed that they eliminated the tow package for the BD, Sasq, 4 door on B&P? Whats odd is you can still get a hitch bike rack and it will get you the tow package.....

I am strongly considering going after the blue stitching with a black Sharpie.

I'm doing the same with either the BD or BL.

I'd recommend using something better than a Sharpie. It will likely fade. You can get pens made with fabric dye.

I'm going to use India ink pens. I've used them to repair marks in a black granite countertop with good results. They have a fine tip as well so less concern about getting marker all over and needing to wipe off.

I also have some diy India ink tattoos that have held up surprisingly well. Ha. I don't reccomend this as much though. You're on your own if that goes bad.

Must be you, because it's there for me w/o adding anything to a BD. Also did a 4dr, squatch, and still there.

Everything but the stitching can be swapped out pretty easy.

For the grab handle you would just change out the whole thing unless you wanted a custom color then you could paint it a diff color or switch out the rubber or plastic

@carolinajim unless a change is my made my current plan is to swap seats with a black diamond owner. That’s how much I disdain the orange interior/blue exterior combo haha

I am in for this swap deal !! I am on the list for a 2x door CO BD, and I am interested to swap for a BL interior !! I am located in Florida !!

Coming from an FJ Cruiser, you will want something down on top of the washout floor. I chose vinyl floor mats front and rear which are optional on the Bronco. My wife will want the carpeted ones in the Bronco.

If you have nothing, the washout floor will always look dusty and dirty. If that is what you are good with, go for it. The optional vinyl floor mats will also look dusty and dirty, which is why my wife doesn't want to do that again.

So weighing in on optioned out BB vs BD optioned
Do you think the vinyl washout interior is worth losing fog lights and signature headlights? I plan to go to Moab twice a year, and trails a few more times. Plus we occasionally get moderate snow.

I keep wondering the same thing. All kinds of pics of all the other models even the Base. All I have seen was the factory shot of the rear on a black one.
