so, this may be a dumb question/me just thinking aloud. I have a Black Diamond on reserve. The things i want are the hard top, Sasquach, and 2.7L. By the time i add those i am less than a grand under what i can get a Wildtrack for. The biggest difference seems to be with the wildtrack i do not get marine grade interior. would it be better to just get the wildtrack?

Its a give and take. You lose the metal bumpers/plates, rubber floor, washout interior, and rock slides on the BD but gain the colored door handles, painted grill, painted mirrors, headlights, upgraded instrument cluster, and the carpet that WT offers.
Kinda two different vehicles.

The rails are not frame mounted just FYI...so not very effective...if that matters to you.... and the steel has been reported as thin on the bumper...haven't read anything about the bash plates....

Seats and sway disco would be the biggest points IMO

Neither BD or WT have disconnecting swaybars.

Wildtrak only has brown-themed interior options and is a glorified Baja truck (I live in a rust belt city, but you don't).

Go Sasquatch'd Black Diamond with MGV, bash plates, and steel bumper. Who needs all that crap above mid package anyways?

My $.02

I would say start with your intended use, if the rock rails and bash plates are important and then I would think about what interior you like better

Wildtrack interior is awful...why would you pay extra for that garbage? Plus you lose steel bumpers and rock rails.
Dude the "wildtrak is awful" sentiment is your opinion. All subjective. The second half of your post is fact

Another thought, and I just ran through this model comparison myself, is GOAT modes. The BD has Rock where the WT has Baja. Other than the drive mode 2H/4A BD and 4H for WT they are the same settings. To me, that gives the BD some capability that the WT does not have.

I had a reserve for a BD
Great rig

I changed to the WT
I prefer the looks of it better than the BD

And don’t let everyone tell you the interior is awful
That’s just a matter of friggin opinion..
