Been driving for a couple years without a bimini top, and would like to have one for the shade factor. Anyone have experience with the Bestop offerings ? They say you can leave them on with your hard top in place. Any noise issues created ? They're already loud enough, don't wanna make it worse.

I opted for the JTop version. I keep it on all the time with the hard top with no issues. I think it might have reduced the sound a little and I just added some sound reading foam to the hard top panels using Velcro and I know that helped reduce the noise level inside. With the JTop you don’t see the foam panels at all.

Do you have pics/details of the foam you put on the hard top?

We had a JTops Bimini under our soft top. Served its purpose well. Decided to go the hardtop route and removed the Bimini for two reasons. First, we just didn’t go topless or partially topless much. But second and more importantly, the JTops Bimini blocks access to hardtop panel lock handles and interferes with roof panels attaching to the roll bar. Other brands may be different. Said another way, in my case it was either one or the other, Bimini and hardtop can’t coexist. Bimini now resides in the pile of Bronco stuff I just had to have and don’t use anymore. :)

Whatever you do, don’t buy anything from @Bestop_Team right now because they’re too busy designing a two door soft top in square back. Their Bimini is better than JTops because Bestop’s Bimini has access zippers and better quality materials and a hidden metal crossbar that keeps it from flapping around on the freeway, but they’re singularly focused on two door soft top square backs right now, unfortunately.

Going on three years, no issue here w/ the J-tops under the hardtop. The version I have the front 6" of the bimini folds back so the hard top panels can be installed and all latch locations have zippered access. I have zero issues.

Did you have the soft top version of the JTop? I have the hardtop version and it has zippers to access to handles. I also have no issues getting the panels to lock into place.

This is Mike with JTops. Your information on our top is completely wrong. I suggest you do some research before making comments. We even make a version of it that Ford has adopted.

Love my JTops Bimini and hard top. Zippers to access handles. Doesn’t flap at all in the wind. No sun leaks around the edges. It’s extremely well made. I have a custom printed one. Looks awesome

This is what I have, I needed something solid for my fair complexion. and it is fairly waterproof, got caught in a heavy Texas down poor the other day and stayed fairly dry. I only fold the front portion when I install the hard top. https://broncobikini.com/

the wife took the Bronco for her last day of school I can get a pic when she gets home in an hour or so.
