5k + lbs vehicle vs maaaybe a 3k lbs vehicle. And vehicles are meant to crumple to absorb impacts. BMWs consistently have 5 star crash test ratings, the 3 series is no exception there.

yep Iām hoping nothing like that happened but Iāll take a lookMake sure it didnt tweak the tailgate and spare mount when it dove under. It probably pushed up on the spare.
Is that a plastic bumper? I was rear ended a few weeks back, but not really going very fast, and the lady behind me in a Mercedes didnt fair well with my FabFours Vengence Bumper. That thing is solid and didnt even move.Well this month just seems to be never ending with the excitement with the bronco First the tie rod and now thisā¦
Last night I was coming home with a friend and we got rear ended at a red light by a speeding beemer.
Luckily no major damage aside from the rear bumper, scratches on the muffler, and the trunk strut is broken but thatās it. Unfortunately canāt say the same for the girls bmw. Apparently she had just gotten it yesterday as a graduation present so I felt really bad for her

yes it was the plastic one unfortunately. Iām pretty sure if it was metal the worst damage wouldāve been a couple of scrapes. Would you recommend the fab fours one? āhey insurance can you pay for two new tie rods? I know it looks like it was all back end damage but I promise I need new tie rods tooā¦āSorry for your continuing headaches. Not your best week, apparently.
Check your tie rods. Theyāre probably broken.
Iāve read a lot of the IIHS studies about traffic accidents and mortality. The two biggest factors are vehicle weight and height mismatch. The Bronco is objectively safer than just about any non-SUV/truckBumper height mismatch.
I did a double take on that as well. You have Cactus Gray/Cyber Orange chameleon paint? Lol from the BMW hazards signal reflection in the first pic.
Obligatory please get your tailgate looked at by a professional.
I have a bronco chameleon!!I did a double take on that as well.
No visible damage to the tailgate from the spare being forced forward?
I would absolutely recommend that bumperyes it was the plastic one unfortunately. Iām pretty sure if it was metal the worst damage wouldāve been a couple of scrapes. Would you recommend the fab fours one? Iām looking at upgrading
