Update: they finally started getting to it yesterday. As of right now the estimate is at 40K and they are not done. Do not have an itemized list yet.

Just wild that $40k doesn’t total a vehicle these days.

I haven’t heard from my insurance yet. I’m sure they will total it with that quote

Give ‘em time. They’re not done yet. Estimated MSRP of that spec vehicle (22 BB/SAS/Mid/Aux) is approximately $49,000, so the current estimate is already 83% of MSRP.

::EDIT:: — I agree with the OP (@22BIGBENDSAS).

It will be $5k-$10k more than the estimate I bet. Our $18k turned into $26k on my wife's Toyota.

Doesn’t insurance go by market value?

Yes, Actual Cash Value, which approximates market value. I just made a quick estimate of MSRP based on the Build & Price tool, since it is a 2022 model, and the B&P tool is still active. I doubt that Actual Cash Value will be much different than MSRP, because it is a fairly low value trim package (Big Bend, MID, albeit Sasquatched). However, the current incomplete estimate for repairs is running at 82% of MSRP, so is already getting close to total loss threshold, and it will likely only go up as the estimate process progresses.

Even if they know what parts are needed, can they get them? How long will the repair take while you continue to make the payments and ins payments? Just replace it with a new one and move on.

If the OP lives in the State of Washington (not Washington DC), where the total loss threshold is not established by law, then the insurer will use the Total Loss Formula to determine if the vehicle is to be totaled.

Buy it back. Upgrade rad and intercooler, replace condenser and grill. Put ADV complete fenders and hood. Pick an awesome bumper. BOOM you would have one bad A$$ Bronco at like half price.

Ford Bronco Bronco vs. Deer B195ADB1-BD47-4EA2-AE1C-0FF8F2B4BA1C

From PA here as well. This would be about the only bumper I have seen for the Bronc that would help in this situation. :)
I did the Fab Four Matrix since it was much cleaner than the ARB just for deer since totaled last vehicle with hit at 55 mph.

7-gauge steel ought to do the trick. This looks great!
