Don't forget you get to keep the venison. So I hope you called a buddy and processed that deer. Just did that a week ago for a buddy who hit a deer. Called me and said can you come get it. I said be there in 10 minutes pulled it into the bushes gutted it threw it in the back of the truck. Had venison chili last night from it. Sorry about the vehicle. We are getting into the rut around my area so every male is on the hunt so it's bad. I've hit 2 deer in the last couple years and my wife who's lived here her while life has hit 3.

The airbags didn’t deploy. Don’t know how they didn’t. Don’t know yet. The auto body shop doesn’t open till tomorrow. I think I’d rather have them total it and get a new one

Holy cow (or deer)! Glad you're alright. Looks like your bumper was doing its job, and the front end crumpled where it needed to in order to absorb the impact for you.

Did all of your equipped safety systems (seatbelts, airbags, evasive steering if applicable, etc) do their jobs?

So I hit a deer doing 70 mph this morning. Not a great way to start the day! Gotta wait till Monday for the auto body shop to open.

that sucks .... but I've always wondered how insurance comapnies react to these situations .... are you covered?

That isn't much damage in the grand scheme of things. Bronco is on frame construction and it doesn't look like any structural things were damaged. You'll have to look underneath to see if any suspension parts were damaged.
Essentially anything in front of the engine, the intercooler piping, air intake pipeline, power steering and lines. Any electronics up there of course. And a hood.
No airbags mean you didn't hit hard enough to trigger them in the right spot.
It'll really depend on parts costs as to if it gets totaled.
If that was a uni-body car hitting like that, it would be instantly totaled.

Ouch, hopefully you get it repaired soon? This is why I bought an ARB Summit bumper. My mom's SUV was hit by a deer on side and it did 6k in damage and ran away. Cars today are expensive to repair.

Oooof that was almost me a few days ago near Cascade Idaho. I had to stop a good 20 times in 2 hours after it got dark. Good luck on repairs.

At least it had the courtesy to die. Lol. I tagged one with my Olds Intrigue 2 weeks before I was set to leave for college. Had it fixed poorly by the only shop who could turn it around in time. Not a pleasant experience.

I’m new to the group, only had my Bronco for a month and wasn’t an ordered one (at least not by me).

However, you guys have SERIOUSLY disappointed me. Six pages of comments and I am the first to say ”You got BUCKED!”

Glad you are ok, sucks for your Bronco. Does it have a hard top you wanna sell?
