Definitely looks secure but seems a lot of weight just to hold cans. A divider, big top plate, etc. But I get the idea

I wish fabricators would make the fuel carriers out of aluminum...Tyson at Hammer Built is doing that for the MFC single carrier. If a person uses MFC cans instead of Jerry cans, that alone saves 20 pounds for the pair...and a decent aluminum MFC single carrier is about 6 pounds in aluminum. A double (with a top plate) can be built at about 15 pounds in aluminun. The swing out section makes sense if it is steel for strength and durability, but it would be cool if the bumper manufacturers would have a method of owners being able to mount the carrier of their choice to the swing out section. MFC's are extraordinarily tough to get (especially in CA due to CARB rules), and at over 100 a pop if you can find a place to ship one to you, filled with gas x2, is an easy 250 loss if someone jacks both.

Damn really thought I found my rear bumper the scorpion tactical rear which I believe is the same as the barricade HD. If so just saw this side view and damn it leaves a lot exposed and looks terrible. Too bad it’s perfect from the rear.

More versions but HOLY CRAP only 3mm (.120”) is too thin. All other appropriate bumpers are 3/16” (.190”)

the image was from bumpers depot i believe and was of the scorpion version. But I believe they are the same bumper just rebranded.

It’s for function. High clearance / rocks. A lot of the aftermarket bumpers are like this, to gain more clearance. I have the same concerns with my rear bumper search. Keep coming across this issue amongst others.

Rear JCR Crusader

I’m pretty sure I’ve settled on my combo:

Front ARB Summit
Rear JCR Crusader

172# for that front ARB bumper is ridiculous. JCR’s front winch bumper is 95# in steel and 50# in aluminum.

I’m shopping for the best lightweight winch bumper. JCR is the current leader with a good looking bumper at 50# in aluminum. I also like the Lobo winch bumper, not super heavy at 90#.
