Then took it on a real trail the next day (yesterday), a long loop around the backside of the Silverbell mine through the Ironwood Forest National Monument...

Well we made it back home. 1900 miles, 19.3 mpg, 3 flash floods, some sightseeing and a sasquatch sighting. I would like to give a shout out to @Zach@Granger and for being such a stand up person and to his team! Samantha and Catelyn were great to work with and to Albert, god rest your soul….. who started this journey with us.

Th original plan was to meet up in Iowa with my daughter and my grandkids from Illinois and pick up the Bronco…. Fast forward 3 years of uncertainty and change. During this time both my dad and my wife were diagnosed with cancer. We went on a journey but not the one we intended. Then our daughters husband landed a great job overseas and they left. What was born from excitement quickly became a thorn of contention.

We had almost given up on the bronco but through Zach’s communication on B6g we held steady. I stayed with the 2dr basemansquatch through thick and thin. My wife and dad are doing well and our bronco was born! We flew to Iowa and drove back home with a few stops along the way.

Thank you Granger and B6g for being there during some trying times! Thank you @Ford for building the Bronco and I hope you all get yours soon!!!

Made the pilgrimage yesterday. Caught a 6:30 AM flight one way. Shuttle ride. Viewed the bronco, paid, picture, on the road. Landed at 9:45 AM, was off driving the Bronco by 11:00

. A bit surreal. Wish i would have taken a video of driving around the parking lot, so many broncos...

Drove the back roads of Iowa for about 150 miles to run through the gears and run through the small towns. Home at 8:30 PM. Its been 10 years since driving a manual, I think the last was a rental in italy in 2013. Stalled once, but then memory takes over and by the end of the day, was like I never didn't drive a manual.

I wouldn't say it was the best experience buying a car, I've had good experiences, but it was unexpected and surprisingly satisfying after the 3 years. Very efficient, and genuine. Both my kids need new cars so I'll steer them to Iowa. Thanks all.
Yes I'm considering also some varied driving on the way home. I haven't checked the recommended Bronco "break in" driving, but my other new car manual recommended varied driving for the first 500 miles. Specifically recommended against high revving and steady state highway type driving. So I'd like to avoid a long steady speed highway drive to start out.

So i got the email from Finance to arrange for pickup of my bronco and they quoted me the price that I signed for back last fall, but i should have price protection of around 3000 and they didn't mention it. Is this the way it was for all you other Grangtober order holders? I have a certificate number and everything so i'm not sure what to think...

No, the certificate should be figured in to your final total. Email your certificate # back to your contact at Granger and bring it up on your call also.

For those who shipped from Granger to CA, did your Bronco arrive with temp plates? Mine just arrived with a paper plate that says Granger Motors. The docs I signed with Granger reference a "temporary tag." Is this piece of paper with "In Transit D7" on it? And is this all you need to legally drive the vehicle until you get temp or permanent plates? Do you need to display it in some way?

The CA DMV site does not make any of this clear. I would prefer not to get pulled over or vehicle impounded for a violation but I do need to drive it a bit to set the sensors before the smog test.

Just tape that “D7” paper in your back window, PLUS you must have your purchase paperwork with you in the vehicle. You will be 100 percent legal.

In about a week or 10 days, Granger will mail you the official title paperwork. Take to the DMV and get plates.

Is anyone else having trouble with their price protection private offer with Granger. They've given me a number, but it is different than what Ford has indicated would be the number based on one's order as of last September. And Granger is unwilling to discuss this with me.

Has anyone that picked up their Bronco week before last (week of 5/29) gotten their in transit title etc in the mail yet? I’m getting a little nervous, as I picked mine up on Friday 6/2 and my in-transit temporary tag expires this Saturday. When I called Granger to check status today I was told that it might take 30 days or more, but that I’d be ok driving it as long as I have the paperwork with me. Not sure that the local authorities would have the same interpretation of an expired temp tag. “Yes officer, I know it’s expired, but it’s really not….”
