I have the same cold start rattle with my 22' Braptor, lasts for about 2-3 seconds. Confirmed by dealership service department today that it is the cam phasers. Only 4900 miles on Braptor.

Welp @Tye our vehicles truly are twins. Mine is def not as loud as other but seems like cam phaser replacement is in the near future for me as well. What was your total down time? Did they let you keep your vehicle until the parts came in?

Sorry to hear. Yes I kept my vehicle until all the parts arrived and they were ready to start working on it. They had it 10 days

I’ve listened to a few bronco raptors during start up and not heard any obvious start up noise …but I have heard a similar noise when the engine is turned off …so do failing cam phasers make a sound when vehicle is turned off as well ?

sound only comes from a cold start. Once you have it, it will get louder and louder over time.

I had it on my 2018 f150 with the 3.5.

It was covered under warranty and once it was fixed, I wear I had an extra 50HP.

Yes it's specific to the cam phaser and I guess there is a new part number with the updated phasers

From those that have had it done did they pull your engine?

Yes , and service manual actually states engine removal for it. I posted full notes of what's done when they pull engine a couple pages back if you want to reference how much is being taken apart.
