I was actually quite impressed how it held my fat a$$ in soft sand. I do agree, they are my backup chairs that I keep in my truck all the time, but for the size they are fairly comfortable.I have four of the cliq chairs. I think they're a bit small and particularly suck in SAND. Given limited storage it is nice I can fit a bunch of them in the rig. Personally though I've made room for a larger and much more comfortable chair. The cliq chairs have become backups.
I'm right there with you. Besides, I can't really stand those ass hammock chairs, they're just plain uncomfortable to me.Because I am a total cheapskate, I bought several of these at a local garage sale for $1 each.
I got 3 of them, none match but I don’t care, $3 for 3 chairs is a good deal.
Bought a Marchway to try out. Thanks for the suggestion.I have tried many chairs, these two are my two favorites
Front Runner Expander Camping Chair
Pros
Cons
- Fast setup
- Very well built
- Not high backed, better for eating than relaxing
- Heavy, 9lbs
- Can tople backward if the ground is uneven or you like to lean back
- Shape can be awkward to pack
- Price
Marchway High Back Chair
(I have the previous version, just ordered the new one)
Pros
Cons
- Comfortable, high back
- Good price
- Packs down small (for a high back)
- Light
- Sturdy
- Longer setup/takedown time compared to the Front Runner
- No cup holder
Where I live, its getting so crowded you have to bring your own rock......so I bought some chairs.I crawl on rocks. I sit on rocks.
I also have the Front Runner chair. Small and quick to setup. However it’s not much of a lounging chair. Great for eating and playing cards. But not as good for stargazing.
Thx for the tip on Marchway. These are fundamentally the same as the kilosgear chair I posted about at less than 50% of the cost. (I was wondering where to find these without the kilosgear marketing markup.) And I agree with your assessment of both chairs as I also have the frontrunner.I have tried many chairs, these two are my two favorites

I sit on the rocks where I'm off roading... The only rocks I carry are the ones in my head.Where I live, its getting so crowded you have to bring your own rock......so I bought some chairs.
