I did say "in theory".SHOULD being the operative word. I had a dealer push my reservation because I had bought a truck from them, and they figured I didn't want it. Didn't realize it till I got the phot of it going down the line. I wasn't in a position to purchase it at the time so I let it go.... I still had another reservation at a different dealer that's actually a fair, equitable dealer. Should have gone with them from the get go.
Dealers can and will do shady stuff. Especially when Ford only holds them to a ~75% name match requirement. And even then, dealers can file exceptions for various reasons.
It's sad that people don't understand that it's a seller's market and the dealer is the seller.
