SHOULD being the operative word. I had a dealer push my reservation because I had bought a truck from them, and they figured I didn't want it. Didn't realize it till I got the phot of it going down the line. I wasn't in a position to purchase it at the time so I let it go.... I still had another reservation at a different dealer that's actually a fair, equitable dealer. Should have gone with them from the get go.

Dealers can and will do shady stuff. Especially when Ford only holds them to a ~75% name match requirement. And even then, dealers can file exceptions for various reasons.
I did say "in theory".

It's sad that people don't understand that it's a seller's market and the dealer is the seller.

I called this morning and Carlos is on vacation and will be back Tuesday of next week. Still unsure why he hasn’t returned correspondence prior to his vacation, but I’m in limbo for now. I’d heard nothing but good about them as well, which was why I went with them. Hopefully it’s all just a misunderstanding or miscommunication and I’ll be able to convert my reservation on Tuesday! My wife has been with me while I’ve driven a Bronco locally and is now a huge fan and considering a two door Bronco as her next ride (in 2024). I’d be all in on the stable!
I find it difficult to believe that they don't have anyone taking over his sales duties during that time. They aren't OK with missing sales because no one will talk with them. It seems like unfortunately you picked a bad dealership. If they're discounting under MSRP, they're getting their money another way. I'd blow up every phone number email, twitter, etc you can to both Ford and the dealership. Sorry that you're going through this BS.

Not necessarily. There are actually still a few good dealers out there. I am familiar with the dealership in questions and their offer, they don't have a ridiculous dealer fee, mandatory add-ons or try to force in-house financing on you. Same goes for the under invoice discount dealers in IA, TX, WV and PA.

Unfortunately, the OP has hit a road block but I am sure it will get worked out.

Help!! My out of state dealer had advertised and then agreed to a very competitive under MSRP price. After holding out for a painted hardtop, I’m now forced, but so ready to convert my day #1 reservation to an order. However after 4 weeks of trying, I can’t get my listed dealer to return my phone calls or emails. I’m at a loss! They’ve been after me in the past to convert, but now they are invisible. What are my options? I’m now 20 days out from the conversion deadline and am compelled to do whatever it takes. Secondly, if I must change dealers, who would give me MSRP or less?
What CITY and STATE is this Dealer in? There are people here who can "reach out and touch" them if needed. If you say Michigan, I can pay a visit to this dealer. No, don't read that as threatening them. There are much better tactics they they are unaware of. :D

Oh I know. I know. Doesn't make a lot of the things they do right. Might be legal, but not right...

I didn't mean they were necessarily doing something shady, but maybe the under MSRP allows them to make up for it in volume or financing or other ways.

Update: I finally converted my reservation into an order last week. Because I have a day#1 reservation, I was assigned a Priority Code: 10. On Tuesday my dealer informed me that Ford was previewing my order, which he said meant that my build might get a scheduled build date this week. Today I received an email from Ford stating that my Bronco is scheduled to be built the week of January 9, 2023. After leaning on this website for the past 2+ years and reading all of the horror stories, I was stunned. Reservation to Ordered to Scheduled in just one week. Is that a first? Eruption Green 4DR 2.3L OBX, SAS, Leather seats, High pkg and a few other bells & whistles. This Beachcrawler is one happy guy!
