Car cover for outdoors questions

My .02, don't bother. If your Bronco is not washed and dried first, every time you cover it....you risk scratching it with the cover. Put a good coat of wax or ceramic on it and anything that drops on it will come off easy enough.

The problem comes in parking it under trees. Some trees are worse than others in what they drop or weep on to your vehicle. Plus the birds.

I leave my vehicles outside all the time and don't worry about them, but I also don't park under trees long term.

I’ve seen people do this for outdoor storage. Car covers outside do get nasty.

Not an infant.

It's already waterproof. Why would you care if the cover is waterproof?

Most people I've seen that put car covers on their outside parked vehicle, end up with mold growing between the cover and the car. And ruining their paint jobs.

I am interested in a car cover for outside. The bronco will not be my daily driver and will be parked out in the driveway under trees.

I looked up cover king and sent them an email about the covers they are making for the bronco. I will post an update when I receive a response next week.

what are some outside car covers y’all have that you like? Brands/types?
What should I be looking for in a cover that will be outside and under trees? Types of materials #of layers etc?

For my jeep since I had the top off a lot I got basically a top half cover that just covered the top half of the jeep so essentially the cab itself to just below the windows and where the top met the body there were issues with rain kinda seeping in but you can just bungie it down

Almost like it was computer generated crap.

IMO, the Covercraft ones on the Ford PDF List are $ too much. I have had 3-4 Covers for Show Cars from "California Car Cover". I am sure they will make one (soon) for the Bronco. Make sure you choose the outdoor model. If you have the roof rack, that may need a larger size and my only question would be if it will cover the rear spare or have a opening for it. He

I contacted California Car Cover today. They plan to make covers for the Bronco. I suggested they have options for the roof racks and advised them that the Broncos come with a rear mounted spare tire. They will advise me when they are available and I will POST it in here. NOTE: they have both interior and exterior covers...about a dozen different types.

I just checked their web page, does not show a Bronco option. My guess....they have not been able to get the specs or hands on one. I will send them another email. If I hear anything I will put it here. I have these covers on my Charger and Challenger....nice covers.

I had one for my Challenger Scat Pack, they do make a nice cover. As noted above, you have to make sure your car is pretty clean when you put the cover on, otherwise you'll just get your cover dirty and possibly drag it over the car. Which, combined with my OCD, led me to getting rid of the Challenger and start truck shopping!
