Center console vault ?

No argument here. I've been carrying for 35 years and I firmly believe you should never leave one in a vehicle anyways. Even with a vault it's only encased in plastic so a good smack with a hammer will tear it right apart. Take the vault and stick it in a vise and crowbar it open. But you're talking to someone who has an 1150 lb safe in his bedroom. ?

Side note...even those car vaults do not need much to get inside. Father-in-law lost the keys to his and took me 30 seconds to get into it with maybe a scuff mark and no tools used. learned a trick from an older retired officer.

Does anyone actually have the Ford Center Console installed? I'm curious what the actual opening dimension is. It looks like you lose quite a bit of space with the size of the border around the opening.

Holstered p365xl fits if you maneuver it. There’s a bit of room for a sunglasses case and other small stuff. It’s not very bit to begin with.

Does this lock box still allow access to FOB key FOB programming at the bottom of the center console etc? If I remember, FOB pairing etc happens by putting key FOB in center console after removing the bottom lining. Thanks in advance for feedback on this!

There is a lock but with the doors off and the wire pass through directly below the lock, it would be better with the vault. I feel the vault bolted inside the console vs a lock with access for a screw driver or other tool to break the armrest would be more secure.

I installed the vault in my Wildtrak. It is heavy duty, and ideal if you go to the beach, etc, and want to leave your wallet, cc, etc, behind.

What secures the vault against removal.
Instruction look like side screws are used.

bad guy might just want to remove, and open later..
