Let me start by saying, maybe it's just me, wouldnt be the first time. So I removed the center console lid because I am going to install/apply Redline's leather cover and in the process, may have discovered that the lid came installed incorrectly from the factory three years ago.
I know that I have seen others on here comment how the console lid seems like a bad design because it doesn't stay up on its own. To the contrary, it falls down on you everytime you try to get something out.
After I took the lid off and then popped off the vinyl top half of the lid, I went to put the shell back on temporarily while I get the leather cover on the top half installed. I noticed two spring loads on either side of the console and when I reinstalled the lid (what I think is the correct way) I experienced this phenomena.
Who would have thunk it. I am quite pleased. If no one else has ever had this thought and their console was put together correctly, ignore me.
