Got most everything done today in my 22 raptor, still have to mount lights under the seats. I did have to file off the light harness connector under the driver footwell, but all went pretty well.
Can you clarify what Ford OEM part numbers you needed and quantities? I'm going to do this for my '23 Raptor. You also ordered a harness from @JHForman812 ? What can I omit if I don't want the cupholder lights? TIA.

*EDIT* If you want to convert Raptor from 2 standard footwell lights to 4 color changing ones, you should order 4 new LEDs, FL3Z-14A318-L and a "no cup light" harness from @JHForman812 . His harness is very nice and very OEM quality.

I'm guessing I'm not alone in that after I adjust to a cool new color, they lights revert back to the default color when entering and exiting normally before and after driving. I also would guess this is not the behavior in vehicles that come with the color changing option.

Could there be another FORScan change needed?

My 2013 Mustang GT Premium did not revert back. Pretty sad that my Bronco that is 9 years newer and twice as much money has worse interior lighting and gauges :(

Strange I have not had mine revert to the standard color. Both of mine were ‘21 then ‘22 I’ve had this installed on.

I believe this is as intended. When the vehicle is off and you are entering/exiting it goes to that light blue to illuminate as much as possible. Once the vehicle is running it goes to your selected mood color.

My 22 badlands and 23 raptor do this. I actually prefer it this way.

In my 22 Badlands, it used to revert. Not sure if it was a recent software update or what, but it doesn't revert anymore.

Hmmm, interesting, conflicting behavior. I'd prefer no changing of the color; once it's set, it's set.

Maybe that’s why I have not noticed it. Once started I know it stays where I left it. My wife daily drives ours so I don’t get to see it in the dark much.

My 2017 Fusion has factory color change. When I turn the vehicle off the lights revert back to OEM blue. When I open the car door to start it they are blue. As soon as the car is powered up they go to whatever color I have set in the APIM. I believe this is how ford designed them.

Just got around to adding the color change to my Bronco.

Bought 2x FL3Z-14A318-N and 2x FL3Z-14A318-L

I used the L's on the harness for the rear seats and the N's on the passenger side but the drivers side is the only one that had a different connector. Is there a different part I should have gotten?

Below is the drivers side connector and the comparison between the stock light (right) and the new light (Left).

No. You just need to swap the connectors. Remove the white front face and you will see where to push to pull the pin out. Pretty easy to do.
