Confused on order! Help

You don’t have enough info to know whether this is suspect or not, which is why you’re getting two different types of answers.

What we know: Your dealer converted your reservation to an order.

What we don’t know: Whether they ordered it how you exactly wanted, and more importantly, what priority they gave it.

That’s important because if they have it a 99 code, it means it’s just a place holder and you’ll submit your “real” order for MY22 when the time comes. This could have been done because your reservation is late and they assumed it was going to be a MY22 anyway.

That could be a problem because if your desired build doesn’t have any MY22 only options, there’s still a chance you could get your bronco in MY21.

The worse scenario is they gave it a regular build priority, didn’t spec it the way you wanted, and it gets pulled and built… this could happen because either they are stealing your reservation or they’re idiots and don’t know how any of this works.

Your next steps: You need to demand a copy of the Order Summary Sheet (WBDO/DORA) from the dealer. This outlines exactly what order was placed on your behalf, from your reservation, with your name on it. It will show you not only what they entered but also the priority code.

Demand that document. Not all dealership employees have the ability or wherewithal to generate it, but someone there does. Get that.

Once you get that we’ll have a much fuller or even complete picture of what is going on.

It will answer all your questions.

There ya go bud, that's the way to play it. I don't know if your dealer is sneaky, or just ignorant as to how the Bronco order system is working. But if you get them to put the order in with the correct trim, and options you're good to go. After that you can let the system work it out, and if it's going to be a '22 your dealer should contact you when the order banks open to solidify your choices. IIRC the '22 order banks should open sometime in Sept., or somewhere around then.

BTW, it appears he's putting the onus on you saying he remembers that you were going to bring him a list of the options. If that's not true I'd let that slide until everything was settled, and in the system. Then I'd bust him on that crap.

seems Like the dealer placed his order without him knowing he stated dealer told him not to come in wasent time to order then he logged in to find that he had an in store order . Sounds like his stealership is playing games with him

Ok I have no answers but a lot of questions after reading these posts.
I never put in a reservation, I just went in and placed an order in March.
My Order confirmation e-mail has no order number or date of order just the model.
My order, ie window sticker shows Model Year 2021, Order Code 1049, Priority Code 11.
I was told by the district rep, not the dealer, I should get my Bronco some time in October or November.
So if anyone knows what all those codes and mean should I till plan on a 2021 or should I curb my expectations and realize a 2022 is probable?

What's got me so mad is I have my order summary from 3/16 and I'm code 11, with all the correct options. Today they couldn't find the order, said it was code 99 and when they showed me the code 99 it wasn't what I originally ordered. It was red, base model.... Total mess

That looks incomplete. Maybe he didn't actually submit it? Mine has my name, phone and email on the bottom plus at the top next to 4 door advanced 4x4 it shows "order summary time of preview" with a date and time stamp.

Really? The one they did over yesterday looks the exact same just with the 6/28 on it!
I really hope someone on here with Ford will read this because I spent 2 hours on the phone with Ford and was told to call the dealer and talk to them....

Went through similar travails with my dealer as I elected to go for MY22 and switched from BB to OBX.
The dealer's rep asked me to email them my options for the OBX so that "...they're gonna be ready when the MY22 order banks open..."

But the "Order Placed on..." string ignites a ton of suspicions in me. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and wait for fall.

Ok. Yours is easy.

You made a Reservation.
After that, you had your dealer place an Order.
(order number should be the same as your reservation number)

The order is marked Code 99, which means "do not build". So it is an order, but it is a placeholder. It's not possible to order a 22. You have to order a 21 and then tell Ford don't build it.

On 13 or 14 September, you go visit your dealer, and they convert your 21 order to a 22 order. At that time, you pick your final options and configuration, and the dealer removes the Code 99.
