Hey guys, new account today but have been lurking for months. I got a day one Reservation and day one order on a Black Diamond (no VIN or build date yet). I am now heavily considering pushing mine to a 2022 for a variety of reasons we've all seen thrown around here (mostly want that green lol).
However the conversations I've had with my dealer surrounding this have me very confused. They basically told me that once the order is submitted to ford they have no way of changing the priority code, and even if they could they would be unable to make any changes to the order (i.e. new 2022 colors or other options) even if I am pushed to a 2022 naturally without a priority code change. Are they just being lazy or how are you guys that have pushed your orders going about this? I called Fords Marketing number and got a long version of "we don't know".

Is your dealer smart enough to see if your Bronco has been pulled for scheduling? (You wouldn't have an email from Ford yet if this was the case).

If not, then your dealer should be able to change your order to Priority Code 99, meaning wait until '22. Once the '22 options get announced then you should be able to make any changes with your dealer and have them switch it back to a standard priority code (10/19), upon which that should be right near the front of the line for 2022 builds.

Do you want the truth or just something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy? They can change it to a 99 if you want. The second part is correct. We have not received any guidance for what happens to '21 orders that don't get built. We ASSume they will hold their place in line for '22 by time stamp but haven't been told. Some of us also ASSume that '22 builds, 99 or unconverted 19s, will have to be checked for accuracy, adjusted for any changes and sent back in as a 19. If they can't change it to a 99 they can call their zone manager and he/she can do it OR tell them to put MIC top and tow on it and that will almost guarantee it won't get built this year. Safest option is turn it into a 99 and talk to them when Ford tells us to do something with these orders later this year.

I had a similar issue and unless you've been pulled for a build you can make a change. I ended up emailed the general manager for the whole dealership after my sales guy couldn't take my tow package off. It was done quickly once that happened.

Dealers can't answer a 2021 question either...

Also, shady dealer might want you to walk on your 21 so they can sell it from the lot. Insist on a code 99 unless it's scheduled.

The *dealer* can not change the code to 99... but the region/zone can. The dealer would have to submit a request for the change up the chain.

As far as MY22... eventually we wont be able to order a MY21 anymore, only a MY22... anyone who doesn't have a Bronco yet will need to have their order updated to include MY22 options (whatever is added, or removed)... even if you don't change anything about your order.

Ford hasn't said how they are going to exactly handle the roll over builds... but the presumption is that we will all need to "update" our orders... and Ford has already stated that MY22 orders will be able to include whatever new features (green paint, white top, etc) are available... there would be no way for that to happen unless we are given a chance to order MY22 options.

So you are under the impression that a day one order with MIC top and tow won't get built this year? Asking as a day two order with MIC top and tow.
Wow ... now that would be 😞
