Lol I know, I just wanted to make sure you got the Bronco6G treatment.

I hear you. The reality is that the closest thing to the outdoors most of these vehicles are going to see are a Cabela's parking lot. Store-by-fours and Mall-terrain vehicles for people, like me, who wouldn't be caught dead in a minivan or a Camry. A slow roll into a drive-in campsite will feel extreme LOL. I'm OK with that. I just want it to look good and have some capability for the occasional beach ride, light snowfall, truck-trail, and that drive-in campsite. For the people that live in places where off-roading is easily accessible (I used to live in San Diego area and was able to take my wrangler and bronco to desert parks and national forest truck trails all the time) I am jealous!

I would go back to your initial thought/reaction - Black Diamond.

I thought that was a great intermediate selection at first. But not offering the LEDs on it pretty much killed it. I know that is superficial. So I delved into the differences for what I really needed out of the truck: A) not to look like an Accord or the all-to-popular midsize crossover SUV. 2) the price for what you get. spending money for creature comforts over off-road capabilities. D)back to simplicity w/o being another dad in a wrangler lol

I hear you! This is my wife’s Bronco Badlands and she works as a store manager at a mall retail store

But we liked the MGV and wanted the high package so we said after it and just went way over the top.

Is that confirmed? My dealer has not divulged anything as far as what vehicles are being delivered first. Very vague... late summer/early fall is all that I am hearing at the moment.

That's what Zach at Granger Ford was saying. Seems there are so many folks wanting the LUX, and 2.7L (me also) that those options will be on constraint until the suppliers can catch up. Ford has quite a few of the options, but not enough in the first run for everyone. Depending on when your reservation date is would play a big part in whether that would effect you or not.

I don't know what hit @EvlNvrDys over the head, but stick with the 2-door. Teens don't have enough hardships right now and teach them how to drive a manual... or don't, then they won't beg to borrow it. Letting a teen drive a 2.7L 2-door is a "risky move" (said in the southern drawl of a wiry Sgt Major with a Napoleon complex who tried to tell me I needed a ground guide to back up my POV... even after I told him it had a rearview camera... but I'm not bitter about it years later)

I really wanted my Bronco with MT. It’s been 30 years since I wrecked my ‘87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe. But I also have had hip surgery and while I know I can shift having recently driven a 10 speed Tractor but I’m not getting any younger. So unless you are planning to teach your teenagers how to drive a MT I would go with Auto.

Another 2.3L Turbo! They were really cool cars! I now prefer an auto after years of manual. Just not any better performance, plus hard to eat ice cream while driving with a manual.

Get the auto. Buy the vehicle that you'll need for years down the road, not the one that you want for now.

I wanted a stick when I bought my 2001 corvette. Now 20 years later, I'm glad I bought the auto.

This is absolutely terrible advice. Don't buy what you want and what fits your needs now, but try to guess what you might like better years from now?! Insanity. How would you even know what you might need or want years from now? (If you are still around and can drive)

Being happy 20 years after passing up a manual Corvette is great, but passing on what would have made your happy 20 years ago because you thought might make you happy in the future is beyond dumb. News flash! If you decided three years after buying it that your wanted an automatic, you are allowed to trade it in on one. Even get the same year and color if you like. How about suggesting he get a Camry because someday his knees might give out and he won't be able to climb up in a Bronco?

I won't budge on the 2 door or Cactus color. I think the 2 door looks absolutely astounding

I said it before to my friends with pick-ups, "how often are those things empty?" How often am I going to be off-road (if you count the gravel parking lot at soccer field I can say: a lot)
