As long as we can get a diesel option give us a transmission option. A diesel power plant is a great option great torque good fuel efficiency.

Unfortunately between the DEF and EGR system issues and laws against deletes and tunes in some states/counties, modern diesel systems have turned into nightmares.

Yup. My buddy at work just bought a brand new Jeep wrangler with the diesel. His rig sat in the dealership for 26 days because his EGR valve was faulty (less than 1k miles). I think his valve was stuck open. Jeep didn't have replacement parts on standby because they only made enough to build the vehicles.

Yep, I bailed on my Diesel order as well. The freezing DEF was happening too often. Guessing something with the sensor programming not purging the lines and then getting frozen. Either way, with all the short trips (too short for System to clear particulate filter with burn off) I make it didn’t seem like a fit for me.

Oh crap. Those poor saps are doomed. I had a 2004 F250 diesel. I had my EGR fixed multiple times under warranty - after warranty, too.
