Just thought I would check to see if anyone has heard any rumors of a possible diesel Bronco for MY22?

Thoughts on it if they did.

Ford are you listening?

Does Ford have a smallish state side diesel? The 3.0L used in the F150 isn't very compact and doesn't look like it would fit.

I’d imagine the 3.0 diesel is too heavy.

Wish I could swap my Audi 3.0L V6 TDi and it's 8 speed trans into my Bronco. All Aluminum block and heads, 250HP and 425Ft Lbs of torque with MPG of 28-30 around town and almost 40 on the highway.

I would like to see them too. I am confident that it boils down to how much it would cost to meet US epa standards and what the take rate would be. Europe has a higher percentage of diesel in their autos and we get the short end. The torque would be nice.

Yes have to meet and exceed for treehuggers. I prefer carbon spewing exhaust. But of course I know that wont happen. Diesels these days are pretty good. Inline 4s are not THAT heavy. And regardless theyre much more efficient, faster and more torque. But US standards crapped ALL over VW Jetta for getting 50+mpg

Gotta push the electric vehicle industrial complex's agenda. Passenger car diesels getting 50mpg and driving almost like a regular petrol car would reduce the EV take rate.
