Our '23 BL is our first vehicle with a larger (12") display. Our past vehicles have all had 6 - 8" touchscreen displays. With the larger 12" display the touchscreen functions are much easier (and safer) to access/operate while driving. The higher resolution, rich colors and larger size makes it easier to read---and generally more "entertaining".

Someone earlier complained about the 12" being too bright, distracting---agree. We run it in night (dark background) mode 24/7---problem solved.

Gotta say, from a raw styling perspective (performance aside) didn't particularly care for the looks of the Bronco 8" display. It was obvious from the large plastic ring around the 8" that the dash was designed from the ground-up to support a larger display. No doubt, a subliminal message from Ford---lol!

In any event, the 12" display is not available as a stand-alone option as far as I know---it only comes bundled with other options. Any decision to get it, or not, hinges on the total perceived value of all the options in that package.

Yeah, looks like the 12 inch is now standard on the 24's. I would love to ditch my 8 inch screen, but not worth the money and the hassle for the conversion.

I disagree. To me the 12 looks squeezed in. A 10 would look correct. Personally I have no issue with the 8. I rarely touch the display. Music starts and I go.

Both displays are Sync 4 and as far as I have been able to tell, act the same as far a sensitivity, just smaller real estate on the 8 inch.

See, it's already happening. The 8" has officially become dated.

Give it a few more years and we will swing away from touchscreens back to physical buttons again - then the 12" will look dated.

It will have almost no impact on long term resale value. Tech in cars will always become obsolete before the car does.

I bet before the decade is up most manufacturers will adopt the Tesla iPad style and ditch all buttons because it’s less expensive.

Whomever claims there's a big upside to the 12 is high and just spends money because they want the biggest thing.
