A freind of mine gave me a brake light that connects to the trailer connector and goes into the 2" receiver hole on my hitch. Yes, it disables the start/stop by making the truck think there's a trailer connected, but it also disables the blind spot monitoring, back-up "beeper" as you back up close to things, and it takes away the guide lines from the back-up camera view so it shows only the camera image when backing up. The biggest thing I miss is the blind spot montoring because my Bronco sits up so high that it's easy to miss cars down low beside me. So I feel like I disabled the start/stop that I don't want while also disabling other things that I do want. I'm probably not going to leave that light in there, but I do like that the engine stays going. I just wish there was a darn way to keep it going with the Forscan!
