I have a feeling an update will come with forscan, is we can do it in the ford performance programmer; I’m hard pressed to think forscan won’t update for ‘23

It's my understanding that in a Braptor if you put it in sport mode it will stay in two wheel drive, and the auto start stop will be deactivated while you're in that mode. Additionally the R button can make it stay in that mode?

not a fix, but that would be my solution as I always use sport.

Apparently Ford changed the attributes of ASS starting on '23 models? Anybody know what the changes were and if they’ll be pushed OTA to '21-22 models?

If the change in Auto SS is controlled via the PCM we may be shit out of luck. If I remember correctly, Forscan doesn't allow PCM access

Don't be talking about OTA updates to the Auto Stop!

Watching this topic, '23 with 7MT, haven't had any success.

I had heard the ProCal did it - just installed that and, newp. Still have ASS if you are in Normal mode.

*EDIT*

I stand corrected. If you have ProCal - it ~remembers~ your ASS button position. I just hadn't turned it off from the button. Once I did, it remembered that I had it off between starts.

So ProCal will do this. It's an expensive way to do it though. The kick in the pants on performance is worth the price of admission though, and dropping ASS is a sweet bonus

The forscan update has to turn off auto start/stop has come up several times in the past and its been hit or miss. I was interested in the forscan method until someone stated that it is tricking the computer into thinking that the wheel is always turned 90 degrees? or something along those lines. Not sure if thats true but in any event I do not want that to be the solution. I got use to just clicking the button when I get in the bronco.

Hello guys… any updates?
I've heard latest version of Forscan it works now with most 2023's, but I haven't tried it since July and it didn't work with mine back then. I went the FPT route and haven't looked back.

Try this:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...rt-ass-disable-on-2023-badlands-bronco.80661/

Going beyond that your best bet is to watch one of the many Forscan how-to videos or their instructions on their site.

Looks like it's been updated on the user-friendly part of Forscan (the non AS-BUILT version of the PCSM/IPC control has the user friendly tags but only shows values that have user-friendly tags, AS-BUILT requires you to use the register address but you can access everything that's in the computer)

May still be hit or miss for some folks.
