My first mod- within days of taking my bronco home...
The ones that don't say as built are easier to modify. They don't use the hex digit stuff. Just plain text and a drop down box for the feature you want to change. They even have a search box where you can type in auto start stop and it will find it for you. I did this to disable my double honk. I opened the one that didn't say as built and searched for honk. Then selected double honk and changed the drop down from enable to disable. Then click write. Much easier than the other method. Example below. Skip to 13:36I just tried this today as well on my 2023 Bronco, but no luck. According to documentation that I found, it's in PSCM, 730-03-01, 1st two positions of the third set of numbers, set to "00" to disable. I do see two different PSCM modules listed, one that says "as built", which is the one I changed. Not sure if I should be changing the other one? No idea what the difference is... and I feel like I'm gonna break something. ha
Did this work?So my dealer/salesman told me if you have the tow package (I do) get a cheap trailer wiring harness and cut off the connector and plug it in. Seems the bastardly start/stop is disabled if it detects a trailer?
Gonna try this.
