FlashCal is working on it...I tried Forscan and I could see that FlashCal changed the attribute but it did not work.

There must be another setting that needs to changed somewhere.

Really sucks that this isn't an option to turn that feature off in settings from the factory. I feel like I'm gonna wear that stupid lil button out.

Mime rarely turns off the engine when it's on.

I just tried this today as well on my 2023 Bronco, but no luck. According to documentation that I found, it's in PSCM, 730-03-01, 1st two positions of the third set of numbers, set to "00" to disable. I do see two different PSCM modules listed, one that says "as built", which is the one I changed. Not sure if I should be changing the other one? No idea what the difference is... and I feel like I'm gonna break something. ha

So my dealer/salesman told me if you have the tow package (I do) get a cheap trailer wiring harness and cut off the connector and plug it in. Seems the bastardly start/stop is disabled if it detects a trailer?
Gonna try this.

I have a 23 and used Forscan to turn off stop start.

Weirdly sometimes stop start is disabled on start up, some times it is not.

So clearly something is overriding my change, but not every time.

The ones that don't say as built are easier to modify. They don't use the hex digit stuff. Just plain text and a drop down box for the feature you want to change. They even have a search box where you can type in auto start stop and it will find it for you. I did this to disable my double honk. I opened the one that didn't say as built and searched for honk. Then selected double honk and changed the drop down from enable to disable. Then click write. Much easier than the other method. Example below. Skip to 13:36

Thanks for the info. I was trying to get into as few things as possible .. limit the possibilities of messing it up. But I did just go into the other settings and it says the "stop start" is disabled, but it's definitely not. Guess I'll wait for some forscan updates and hope for the best.

Reviving this thread…apparently Ford changed the attributes of ASS starting on '23 models? Anybody know what the changes were and if they’ll be pushed OTA to '21-22 models?
