Do (mostly) no issues Broncos exist?

New owner here. Bought a new Big Bend 2.3L, manual trans, soft top a couple weekends ago. Have put almost 500 miles on it (5 on the odo when I test drove it) so far and I love it! Everything works as it should. The engine is smooth, the trans is smooth, and carplay even stays connected to my iphone.

I lurked here on the forum for a month or so before I bought the Bronco and almost decided not to buy one due to the posts on this forum. I know folks are more likely to post when they have issues, but are any of you driving what has been a mostly issues free Bronco? It's hard to tell if the good ones outnumber the problems some times.

I would say most of my issues with ’24 outer banks are petty. The black screen at start up sometimes is my main non-petty issue.

Outside of a broken soft top tab that happened before delivery, I've had both rear shocks rust off of my Bronco earlier this summer, and despite that I still consider my Bronco to be fairly reliable.

Besides that there are all sorts of little niggles like a crack forming in the steering wheel airbag cover (don't care) a laundry list of recalls (don't care) windows that don't really auto-index properly (despite how many times I follow the "relearn" procedure)

It's a mass produced vehicle. Some of them will be flawless, others will have problems. It's the nature of the beast and it's no different with other brands. Pick a popular vehicle and go look at their forums, they're all filled with posts similar to the ones here.

Well, I’m not gonna answer that because I don’t wanna jinx it. Lol

2022 4dr badlands, AT, 2.3L, 17k miles, fully loaded, lifted build on 35s, and used properly.

21 4dr Badlands 2.7L, 45k miles. Small issues here and there, nothing major.

2022 two door Badlands MT, turned over 16K miles today.
Cracked windshield at 1184 miles, Jordan Ford denied it was covered under Ford's 12 month/12000 mile stress crack warranty. No longer doing business with Jordan Ford.
Wiper motor recall performed in my garage by Bluebonnet Ford's mobile service tech, Ryan Butler.
Gertrude Manny Tranny made a bit of noise, worse when it used to be cold. Replaced all the driveline fluids at about 12K miles, since these car builders are putting lightweight crap in these units in an attempt to meet the "EPA-Mandated 100 MPG Fleet Mileage" requirement, which is against the laws of physics. There is a thread here on B6G; "Change Driveline Fluids Early", or some such...lots of good info there. Gertrude yaps no more.
Bronco startup animation and compass ceased to work after the last update...apparently I now only travel north.
Ford's IT SUCKS!!! HARD!!!
I get 20-22 MPG with the stock 33 inch KO2s. About 18-19 with 315R70x17 KM3s.
But that's Canyon Lake...your mileage will vary...

"Issues" is a pretty open-ended word. Means different things to different folks.

2022 Badlands, 4 door, 2.3L, manual, MIC top.

The absolute worst issue was the windshield washer pump dying on a road trip to Montana. Total PITA to not be able to easily clean off grime on the windshield on the way home. Stopped every 100 miles or so on the way home to top off the tank and clean the windshield. Obviously fixed under warranty.

Windows not indexing properly about once per month. It takes 15 seconds to fix, but very irritating that Ford can't figure out what the problem is.

The center section on my MIC top was just replaced under warranty due to "warpage" which was causing "whistling" in the cabin. Replaced under warranty.

And then the various Bronco recalls.

Nothing that would make me get rid of it.

No issues with my '22 Big Bend 2.3 non-Sas

I'd love to say that my 2022 Bronco Basequatch 2 door had no issues at all but it had only a few. Dealer was good and quickly resolved all of them. These were a while ago. Had none since and the Bronco is reliable and a joy to drive.

Had the windshield recall done.
Defective light switch- lights came on randomly.
Defective front driveshaft replaced- it did a whirring/whining sound.

I custom fabricated a metal shield to shield the hot exhaust from being so close to the back boot of the front driveshaft.

Mine's been trouble free, except for I just noticed this morning that my hard top has 2 cracks, both near the hinges for the rear window.......oh yeah, and my m/t makes funny noises when it's cold outside.

23 Outerbanks 4 door (wifes) 12000 miles
23 Heritage Classic 21000 miles
Have not had a issue with any so far
The 2 door has been used extensively off road, while the other 2 are mainly road and beach

I’ve only had my 23 badlands for about 4 months and put a little over 4K miles on it and haven’t had any major issues. Mines got the 2.7, it was shifting kinda hard occasionally the first 2k miles or so and would make a loud clunk noise when putting it in gear if I didn’t let it warm up a little first. I just assumed since it was new it needed to be broke in, and since I’ve put more miles on it, it doesn’t do either of those things anymore.

Can you tell me more about that clunk. I have a '24, 2 door, manual, Big Bend. When I start off and haven't let it warm up or idle down, there is definitely some rattling, clunking around when I'm shifting in the lower gears. Mines the 2.3. Not sure if I should be worried about it or not. Doesn't seem to be harming anything, and when I warm it up, it's minimal.

I had a VW GTI prior to this and never had to warm up.

Anyway, just curious.

My bronco is an automatic, but it only did it when I shifted from park to reverse. Before this I had a manual mustang ecoboost, I don’t remember it making any clunking noises like the bronco, but I remember if it was cold it would be harder to change gears until it warmed up. And the manual transmission in the mustang was also made by Getrag.
