Welp... I initiated a 3 month trial for ATT (USA) using a Beverley Hills address (because 90210 is the only zip I know!) and it accepted it....
I have not activated it though...
It might not activate until it finds an ATT network, which it won't.

Okay... I activated it and it worked! Maybe worked thru our domestic Cellular network via roaming to achieve connection...? I'll have to test it and see if data is actually available thru our Canadian networks...
But this is great news for planning trips into the US!

ATT and Verizon in the US both allow service in Canada and Mexico but on my last trip to Mexico it did limit my data to 0.5G. Not sure how your in-car WiFi will work.

Conversely, Rogers also allows use of US networks as well... At a premium $$

Vehicle hotspot data plan will definitely be the way to go for Gaia and Google Maps/earth navigation and offline map downloads...
As well as connecting to my Plex server 😜

Noticed that... At the same time as I activated, I got a discount email for $20/month unlimited. Valid only for 1 day 🤷

Still using one of these?

No one is hacking my cloud.

This is what I have. Try this with your smart phone.

I do have a mini Ipad with data though, so I'm not completely stone age.
