Don't like auto start stop

The only thing I've discovered I don't really like about my Bronco...the automatic engine shutdown feature. It's really not a dislike, I guess. It just generally annoys me because I feel like an engine shutting down for a minute while I'm at a stop light doesn't do much. For it to really matter every car would need this feature, but of course that will never happen. Someone tell me, how much of a difference does leaving this feature on really make?

I don’t know about gas mileage difference. But using forscan and disabling has made me not think about every again.

It does not do anything in the grand scheme of things other than annoy the owner. I installed an autostartstopeliminator. Took about 10 minutes. Money well spent.

I've become accustomed to pressing the button at the same time I reach for the gear selector knob the first time I get in the Bronco. It's just part of the routine now and I never think twice about it.

this is the way. Press the A with the circley arrow thing around it as part of the routine.

Haha, I knew better. I realize I'm in a forum full of guys.

It's not as bad as some early versions in other cars. It takes some getting used to but now for the most part I don't have an issue with it.

I have it on my Bimmer. I try to leave it on and get used to it. That lasts like 10 minutes at best. Luckily my BMW has a button next to the start button you can press each time AND it remembers. So if it's set to off, the next time I start it up and drive, it will stay off without having to push the button again (Thank you BMW).

I like having mine. Some of the lights where I live are 5 min plus long if you are one of the first ones there. Then if someone hits the walk button it's longer, LOL. It has to be saving fuel, I am averaging 22 MPG with my Sas. but some of that is probably me driving with a very light foot

If I know a light is going to be short or about to turn, I simply turn it off, then back on again. It's just a matter of getting used to the feature.

If you don't have long lights just turn it off when you start it up.
