Door entry code

I often put my key fob and phone in a Faraday case and lock the entire thing in my Bronco. I don't like carrying my key fob or phone while kayaking, wake boarding, snowboarding or backpacking. That's why we have the key pad.

When I’m out hunting in the woods, my hunting buddies know my code and where to find a backup key in case anyone needs to drive the vehicle in an emergency and I’m not conscious or my key is lost.

Most of the stick-on ones are replaceable. Been a long time since I’ve changed the battery in one, so I’m not sure if that’s still a possibility. But I would guess it is.

I think a fob with no battery would be a fair approach. IF, (and that's a big if), someone finds the dead fob, they would need the Bronco specific info to make it work to start the buggy.
If they find the Faraday enclosed fob, its game over.
I am open for discussion

Console vault. Beyond that, if a thief wants it they'll figure out a way.

The console vault needs to have an open bottom for access to the spot.
It's on my list because I have a P365xl just for the truck.
I have a 2dr. So I am installing a Hornady safe between the cargo door and the back seat. Perfect place for your MP5!

The console vault has a cutout in the bottom plate specifically so the fob indent is accessible.

My Badlands does not have an exterior keypad.... so I decided to make due with whatever technology I could come up with:

I'm still working out the bugs on logistics for this ingenious idea... take the phone with me, or leave it on the door handle when I'm away. Testing has not yet revealed how far I can take the phone away from the proximity of the vehicle and still have it be connected and protect the vehicle.

There are times when the fob is not with me, yet I need an item from the buggy.
I thought this was a pretty straight forward concept. Am I missing something here? Why else would Ford put these on the vehicles?

Exactly why I love the keypad! Do not carry a fob with me everywhere at home, and I need to access the Bronco and Superduty fairly often. So Handy.

Just to be clear, Console Vault is a company (brand name) and is the official Ford partner for this accessory. I'm sure there are similar products from others, but I didn't do any comparison shopping as I was using a discount code + points.

You can order through Ford Accessories or directly from CV. It wont have the Ford logo on it if you order direct but you do get some different lock options. They also offer a larger version for the under floor storage area in the back. Just make sure you get the correct one...some MY Broncos have multiple versions.

I miss the factory integrated keypad entry system like all my other Fords have, so I'm thinking about using my points to get the accessory keypad.

I'd like to see pictures where everybody is sticking the pad? Winner gets full credit.

It likely will have the Ford logo if ordered from Console Vault. Mine does.
