Hasn’t happened to me but I didn’t know this procedure was a thing. Guess I need to reread the whole manual.

This is the sort of thing I will forget, then be stuck someday not knowing how to resolve. I should stow a compact list of these sort of procedures in the glovebox.

Happens frequently with my keys in my left pocket. In my right, very rarely. I just flip them up in the console and it’s all good. Kinda crazy how weak the signal is though.

Well my brand new 2025 Bronco Big Bend Black Edition 2.3 with 1727 miles had to be towed to dealer last week. Dead in the water inside my garage. Was able to get it towed with Ford Assistance to my local dealer, Corwin Ford Reno Nevada. Day four and the dealer still doesn't know what the problem is. Guess Ford hasn't figured this one out yet. Interesting since it has been happening since 2021. No simple fix on this one. Dealer basically tearing it apart to try and find the problem. Just a heads up to be aware if you are planning to buy a 2025. I will follow up when(if) they figure it out.
UPDATE: Bronco been at dealer three weeks now. Ordered BCM a week ago but still not installed. Service advisor says they have over six hundred vehicles waiting for service, yeah right, sixty maybe. Hard to get a straight answer from anyone there. At this point I am not sure they actually know what the problem is. For all I know they could be guessing. I was also told that I am not a priority. There are others ahead of me. I guess a brand new vehicle that leaves you stranded is not a priority. More to follow.

UPDATE: Contacted Ford Corporate for assistance. LOL! What a waste of time. I gave them all of the information. They assured me they would contact the dealer and work it out. They called the service advisor working on my issue. He told them the same thing he told me. I explained to the Corporate geek that talking to the service advisor was a waste of time and the issue needs to be elevated to a higher level. They gave me some excuse so I told them to forget about it, I will take care of it myself. In the meantime I have been promised the Bronco would be repaired by a certain date four times, never happened. Last response was we will try to get it done by the end of the week. Doubt that will happen. I am waiting for a response from a general manager at the dealership. Doubt that will happen either. In the meantime my $50K brick has been at the dealership over a month. They don't seem to understand that when we buy a new vehicle we expect to drive and enjoy it. No one at Ford seems to think that a brand new vehicle sitting at the dealership for over a month not running, waiting to be repaired, is a priority. I am starting to believe the rumors that Ford is having serious quality problems, not just with Broncos but their whole lineup. Hope no one else has to go through this.

The closet option is about 50 miles away. I visited that dealer when I was looking. They were sleazy con artists trying to sell me a leftover 2024 with issues. So that one is off the list. Next option would be 80-100 miles in California, not to convenient. Have to ride this one out. May end up being a lemon.

They have 599 brand new vehicles leaving their owners stranded ahead of you, obviously.
