So an observation I wanted to share. I know a lot of people have had issues with windows not dropping fast enough and catching the door seals. I've never had that problem until now. I spent 4 days in very dusty areas with the windows down almost full time, the last day the dustiest of all. To paint the picture, the dust was thick enough on my dash to hide the texture. When I went to put my windows up after that they were very sluggish, and ever since they don't drop fast enough.

It makes me wonder if people with slow drops have a lubrication issue. I'm probably going to take the door cards off and inspect the mechanisms.

interesting, i would note i don't have the issue (yet) but when i got my bronco i did notice lubrication on the window the first few times towards the rear of the vehicle/window. wiped it off and it came back the first few times i raised/lowered.

may be on to something..

What lubrication is recommended? Mine get slow sometimes and I have to do the reset. Would be good to have a fix.

When you take the door panels off, be careful with the saran wrap like seal on the inside of the door. It has double sided tape on it that can be reused if you peel it off carefully.

No clue. Usually some kind of grease, but grease attracts dust. Hence my theory here.

Mine are slowing down as well and have been consuming fine Oregon and Idaho dust, everywhere.

I think TD recommends KY Jelly. I suspect it'll be on his website once he gets to test it... On his doors.

It used to be a silicone dry lube was recommended for window tracks as it will not attract dust. I thought it odd as well that there were gobs of grease in the window edges when we got ours.

I'm going to try the FORSCAN global window route. Just lower windows before exiting. Hold lock button to automatically roll up all windows & lock doors.

There's a delay, it's too annoying to use that way.

If you would be so kind, i would love to get some pics of the back side of the door card. I'm trying to see how easy it is to pull the color matched piece for a project, and what material is used.

Typically I find that any Ph balanced water based will do the job fine and dandy, unless there is a lot of moisture being generated.

Anyway, on topic, for a window track yes you want a dry product such as silicone spray or Teflon. I prefer silicone as it's easier to clean off the glass for overspray and any towel that gets Teflon on it must be destroyed/thrown away.

This product has done us very well at Burning Man.

I've used this after a 36 hour long dust storm and it worked a treat!

More so than slapping the window into the top of the frame  ? I guess try a window reset & see if that helps.
Of course I am just spit balling ,as I'm still awaiting delivery from the rail yard
