Washington State just got hit with a blast of real winter. For two days in a row now my windows have been frozen shut, even after idling for 15 minutes. They did thaw and start working after driving around on day 1. Jump to 08:58 for the goods.

Ugh. I need to get my garage able to fit the Bronco on snowy/icy nights...I am almost there. Opener gets installed next. Couple of more shelves...

Currently completely renovating my garage before my Bronco arrives. I told my wife that she wasn't allowed to park in the garage when the Bronco arrives and the look of death I received - I've been working on it for about a week now. Skim coating the walls, painting everything, new outlets and switches, overhead retractable storage, wall mounted shoe racks, shelving, etc.

But the Bronco will be inside.

Meh… I’m just North of you and we got hit by the same storm. I usually park in the garage, but I was nice and told the fiancé she could park in the garage for a few days, since she doesn’t have remote start. I’ve had no issues opening my doors/rolling down my windows.

I wonder if a quick squirt of lock de-icer would help?

Sad that the solution might be to park that sweet EB outside. You know those windows will roll down. 😉

Ford may need to go back to framed doors with future redesign. Not sure this frameless design gonna hold up.

Just waiting for those “well ive had a frameless door in bmw for several years” guys to come in. Like the OP, I too have a f150 thats had the door latch issue on a few occasions even to where I can close the door let alone open it. Dont get my started on my sunroof issue. At this point, I can point all the fingers at Ford itself for their design.

i can picture it now, several broken windows on people after trying to force the door open or closed.

my wife’s comment tonight “its not like MI doesnt get cold weather. Just wait until one of the Ford Bronco engineers gets into his bronco and says WTF or oh sh** when he encounters the same issue.”

I kicked my jeep out of the garage when the wife’s bronco arrived home.

Maybe there is a reason Jeep never went to frameless doors 🤔

The source of the issue is where the water is pooling in the first place.

I live in the frozen north, my last 3 daily drivers were a Challenger, a Camaro and now a Mustang. Only on a couple occasions have they froze, ice will seal up anything, framed or not. Frozen gas fill doors are also an issue, it's part of life up here.

Screw framed doors, that's what Suburbans are for.

Buy yourself a bottle or two of rubbing alcohol. Poor it into the window where it meets the door and it will all be fine in about fifteen seconds.

Think I must've missed something.
If the windows are completely frozen, then how did he get them to drop below the seal and open the door?
