A fool and his money are soon parted.

If you're really worried about electromagnetic interference disabling your modern car, preventing you from driving down to the Cracker Barrel after a full-on nuclear barrage that was close enough to hit you with an emp but not so close all of your local infrastructure and commerce is still in tact and fully functioning..

The only option is a vehicle without any (complicated) electronics:

Based on your name...you never had a shot anyway
I’d usually say something stupid. But that Everglades badge has it covered.

I have an EMP Shield on my house and it gives me some peace of mind. So I got one for my Bronco (which is stuck on ice mountain). the engine bay looks a little crowded so wondering if anyone has installed on of these already and how it went? FYI- this device is like a huge surge protector to protect against lightning strikes and EMP attacks.

Leaving any negative opinions on having an EMP shield aside, here is a 4 min video showing how to properly install the device on 2023 Bronco. If you're not a fan of this product, that's fine. I'm more of a hedge your bets kind of guy so I have one. To each their own, right? Here's a link to a Youtube I uploaded recently. I hope you find this useful.

The neat thing is that after the nuclear blast that creates the EMP, nobody will be able to "prove" that the little EMP box did not work.
The blast would occur near the edge of space. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Altitude is not in question, effect radius is. The US Military has EMP shilding on many of their vehicles, and studies have shown that an EMP event at high altitude impacted function 800 miles away at ground level. 🤦‍♂️

My solution is a 1980 International Scout.
Better be the one with the Nissan Diesel then, I've replaced tons of those gold box ignition modules without ever even being hit by an EMP :D
