Someone needs to actually prove the factory IC is insufficient at stock tune levels. I've read a hundred posts saying it is but nothing from anyone I've seen brings the science. I'm not saying it is or isn't but the "Holy Grail" surrounding throwing a larger IC on a stock tune for "guaranteed HP" is a bit suspiscious. I've seen that mentality disproven in the 1st Gen Mini world time and again. Once you threw on a reduction pulley and generated higher than stock art temps then you saw benefits. Same for CAIs. Pretty noise on a stock tune. Any HP gains were easily within margin of error. All of this testing and tune fun was measured on a dyno. Quite often doing before and after mod runs for same day comparisons.I kind of figured that. In my option I think changing to a better intercooler what work better giving u a bit more horse power. The cooler the turbo's stay the better. And a good cold air system together.
Thank you for the tip much apperciated.
