I am sure those models were chosen for similar weight ( I know truck is heavier as is explorer) but they have the same motor trans and like most we cannot get the rangers easily for stock right now..

My dealer in Northern Oregon says they will get one in November for people to checkout and drive. I can only assume it will be a cleaned up pre-production and prolly a 4 door.

I’m hoping Ford does some mini events across the country where people can see and drive the Bronco. I think they did something like that for the Ranger.

But...with corona around I’m doubting this is a possibility.

My dealer also just said they will have one to check out later this year along with paint samples and fabric samples so lets hope shes right!

They should at least have models to look at if not drive the different engine options. Hard to reserve something this expensive that you can’t see in person.

Spoke to the GM at my dealership today, he said the same thing, two Loaners prior to general delivery. He said they have a meeting at the end of the week and should know more after that.

I know nothing of Ford production but I wonder if they really are going to produce 6,000 saleable units (dealers x 2) - shut down production to wait for those 6,000 units to arrive at dealers (weeks) take orders (over what - minimum 2 week period) and then resume production in reserved order batching. Makes no logistical sense to me.

Edit — your dealer did say “general delivery” so if that means delivery of the customer units that would make sense to me - but some of the other posts say “before ordering”.

I was told by my Sales Manager that my dealership will have "Mannequin Models" available for view later this year. I am hoping there will be a mixture of parts, like the marine seats, so we can touch and feel all of the unique features.

Just out of curosity... who is your dealer? I'm interested in making the pilgrimage to a Ford dealership to get up close and personal with a Bronco.

They should at least have paint spray outs and fabric samples. Hate to be the BMW snob in the room but they do this on all models. It's not great but it does help. Especially being able to view paint samples in different lighting conditions.

Go get a sales job at a dealership and be the Bronco expert and hopefully you will get to go to a ride and drive event!

If they get the cosmetics rights from pre production and first round of production they might have some in showrooms, they might not need to be fully functional for showrooms as long as they are not for test drive...
