Fender flares off an Everglades?

Just wondering if anyone has taken their fender flares off their Everglades bronco yet? I found a picture of a Braptor with its fenders off and noticed that the fenders are still cut round. I have a Heritage being built in May and am wondering if Ford just did like everyone else, and put a square peg in a round hole.

The word on the street is the fenders are different. Even the rear body line is retro so it’s not just the flares.
