Great post! Thanks for sharing all of the details with us. Really cool to see how it held up.

I would be interested in hearing more about the roll cage. It looks well fabricated and thought out.

It was a goal of mine to be able to say I did the whole thing. Now that I have I probably will never want to do it again lol

It would have been perfect if you had included a photo of your rig post race parked next to a shopping cart station at a local mall.

love the write-up, man .. I was glued to my computer on the livestream watching your guys progress, the whole time. Kudos to you for doing the ironman (which you neglected to mention) - where YOU drove the entire. fucking. thing. Insane. My eyes start rolling back in my head after driving 12-14 hours straight. Loved seeing you and the team working together to make this happen... you didn't mention the gate at the end either - I was sitting on my couch watching, screaming "NOOOOOO" LOL ... thanks for sharing details.. I've always heard of the Baja 1000 but never knew much about it, and watching you and the team get this done was truly inspiring. - Mark Brooks

The closed gate was fiasco definitely caused a lot of confusion at the end there, but SCORE officials acknowledged the mess up and made that our finish line (actual finish line was only less than a mile after the gate). Original time credit because of the closed gate put us under the 36 hour time limit but someone complained so SCORE changed it from 15 minutes to just 1 minute after we were awarded the trophy. Tried to get them to change it back but they wouldn’t budge on reversing the change. It is what it is, just more motivation to come back even stronger next season.

wow, sorry man... I heard there was some back and forth ... that's some BS... but as far as many of us are concerned, you and the team were first in your class... way to go, dude.

Jeep drivers have been pretty quiet the last couple weeks lol

regardless of the DNF, we still positioned first in our race class. Our team had the fastest overall time in class. As a team built from almost 100% rookies I’d say that’s a pretty big win. 🤘🏼

Let me guess was it these guys? At mile marker 610 or so they told me they would have beer and tacos waiting for you at the finish line.
