I was out on looking for my WT for a while. It became too consuming for me, and spent a lot of time on my laptop searching and test driving. Even drove 2 hours each way to test drive one only to be disappointed, LOL.

Someone in my neighborhood, on my street, had a visitor with a beautiful First Edition in the Lightning Blue Metallic color. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk with the owner and will keep an eye out for it again.

I think I may be back in. There is one at a local Ford dealership in the Area 51 color. Their ad says it's "Ford Gold Certified". Which sounds good but, I believe, most of the coverage starts when it was originally sold.

Has anyone with a First Edition lend some advice or experiences with theirs, good or bad?
Should I steer clear?

Thanks

Around model year 24, all Sas Bronco's got a stronger steering rack.
Thanks, I actually saw that earlier, but am looking for a 4-door. My intention is just to have this for my daily driver. Actually, for the price they are asking for the FE, I could probably find a newer WT or SAS equipped Badlands or something

I bought a first edition, and it was even one of the engines with the bad vin number. But after a hundred thousand miles, it never exploded. It was just as reliable as the badlands. We bought later and also the wildtrack that we purchased... I'll keep the first edition forever.

Got one used in 22 with 8k on it. No major issues since I got it. I had the modem crap out, and that's it. Top still in great shape and no mechanical issues at all. Though there was a recall acknowledgement on the valves, do your research first (I did). If you get one, I'd try for one outside the faulty valve Julian dates. There is a large thread on the forums with tons of information about that.

If you get one, skip area 51. Ya gotta get the lightning blue. Two interiors: The navy pier and black. I went for navy pier since I have enough other vehicles with black interiors and that was the original interior they announced on the FE. They added black as an option later. People say it's because people bitched and moaned about the navy pier. I personally like it, and it looks way better in person than pics you'll see online imo.

Could you be more specific on the specific Julian date posts. I looked but did not find anything. Of course, I could just be a terrible searcher...
Thanks again

I only have 25K miles but no major issues after an initial passenger side turbo failure a few years ago (knock on wood). Love the rig and color!

I have a very early 2021 2.7 and it's been very reliable. I had a leaking valve cover in 2022, that's been the only real repair. Otherwise it's been a rock solid daily driver. With a lot of the changes that have come on newer model years, I prefer my 2021 all things considered. Find a good deal on the Bronco you want and enjoy!
