They may have referred to installing the Amber reverse light (separate part) on the base, you do need to flash for that.

I wish you had the blacked out lens when I bought mine, otherwise I've really like them.

Oracle flush tinted tail lights installed to replace my halogen tails on my 2023. A bit finicky to mount securely with their rubber spacers (driver side only) and finding space for the resistors if you've got blind spot monitors. Pulling Bronco panels off the first time feels like it'll snap something, but that's how it is assembled and it was fine. Everything fits back securely and works properly once I plugged in everything. No coding with Forscan needed if you've got halogens. Need to do a bit extra with Forscan apparently by following their instructions if you've got LEDs already, though.

Side by side comparison and video of old and new. Lights are nice and bright. Reverse LEDs are nearly blinding at night.

Best price I found was on Amazon.

Gee thanks, didn't notice that the factory ones looked that bad until I saw these. Something else to spend money on...
