As a fellow Vancouverite, I have no doubt that is what your Salesman told you, but he is mistaken. It would be great If it were true, but then Coastal Ford would have the inside track on 1000 of American Dealerships that have much larger volume than Coastal. Not one of them received delivery dates for customer rides because they haven’t been released yet.
More than likely it is a Mannequin model that perhaps they promised to a customer after they have finished with it.

I think a dealer would still do this for right money as Ford isn't going to piss off people who have made reservations because of shady dealer and dealer stock is so far away.
