Mine started that pop creaking a couple of months ago, I just shot the pins with this, and it worked like a charm.

B6G fam, this fix is legit! I watched this video earlier and then drove to Oreily Auto Parts to pickup a pack of this heat shrink. The 2 largest sizes are exact fit for the panel alignment pins that fit into the brackets. It took all of 5 mins to cut it to size and reinstall the front 2 MIC panels. NO more pops, cracks, or squeaks! I’ve had my MIC top since early Oct with about 7,000 miles now on it and the popping noise has been driving my wife and I crazy!

I posted this about a month ago on another tread, still working so far.

I spent some time this last weekend and after a few days of a 35 mi round trip commute it is still quiet.
What I did was put heat shrink on all the removable panels alignment pins. I also put a thin coat of silicone paste/dielectric grease on all the rubber bumpers on said panels and the tailgate/liftgate ones where they make contact. It's amazing how much quieter it is. Hopefully it won't attract too much dust and will last a few months.

Is it just me or did anyone else that his MIC top looks much better than all of the 2021's I have seen. My MIC 2.0 from Dirt Mountain didn't look that good and consistent color when it was delivered.

Here is the package from Oreily, it’s $4.99. You need the 2 largest sizes in the box, 1/3” and the 3/8” for the front and side alignment pins on the drivers and passenger side roof panels.
